Calibration and connection
The cable gauge should be chosen based on the maximum power it can withstand.
AWG? Hmm?
| Voltage type | AWG | Ø mm | A | V | W |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DC | 22 | 0,33 | 3 | 12 | 36 |
| 24 | 72 | ||||
| 20 | 0,5 | 5 | 12 | 60 | |
| 24 | 120 | ||||
| 18 | 0,75 | 7 | 12 | 84 | |
| 24 | 168 | ||||
| 17 | 1 | 10 | 12 | 120 | |
| 24 | 240 | ||||
| 16 | 1,5 | 16 | 12 | 193 | |
| 24 | 386 | ||||
| AC | 14 | 2,5 | 21 | 110 | 2.310 |
| 220 | 4.620 |

Watt's Law
The power consumed is directly proportional to the voltage and current.
Exceeding the maximum power of the cable causes overheating and may even generate fire.
Secure connection
We must use cable ferrules on the power supply terminals .
If no ferrules are available, tin the wires before connecting them to the terminals.
Fully insert the cable into the connectors to avoid short circuits or shock.
